Is it wrong to ask my parents to pay me?

I often ask my parents to pay me for doing "jobs." Not things like cleaning inside the house or making supper, but things like cleaning & mowing the back/front yard, fixing the fence, cleaning their trucks ect. The way I see it, is im getting paid for time-consuming, non-family jobs that nobody else wants to do. Am i right, or does this seem wrong to you?
